(1929) An early talkie short that could easily have been a silent era slapstick. The plot is a bit like a Benny Hill sketch, we have an eloping couple being persued by the father of the bride-to-be and her official fiance. The plot isn't important in this fast paced comedy that utilises a beehive, the bees of the title, shotguns, a cow suit, a steam cubicle, a car that stalls on a railway track and of course some express locomotives plus a few other props, which is a lot to pack into nineteen & a half minutes! Video 6 Sound 6.

Sounds like a wild ride packed into under 20 minutes! Love how these early talkies still carry the energy and charm of silent slapstick. Definitely adding this to my classic comedy watchlist. songless
